Resolutions submission Process

Unit Approval
Resolution must be approved by majority vote at a unit meeting and signed by the Unit President and Secretary.

Committee Review
Submitted resolutions are reviewed by the Texas State Conference Resolutions Committee prior to the convention. Submission deadline is Friday, September 11, 2026. Click here to submit.

Delegate Consideration
Resolutions are presented to Delegates for consideration and voted on at the 89th Annual State Convention.

A resolution is a formal request to change or amend the programs or policies of the NAACP Texas State Conference, or to establish new policies. Submissions must be well-researched, clearly written, and approved by a majority vote of the sponsoring unit.
Resolutions shape the direction of our advocacy. Submit your unit’s resolution for consideration at the 89th Annual NAACP Texas State Conference State Convention and help set the agenda for the year ahead.
All resolutions must align with NAACP guidelines and be submitted by the deadline to be eligible for review by the Resolutions Committee. Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered.
