The El Paso Black History Tour highlights African American historical sites spanning the period from 1850 to 2022. This tour celebrates the contributions of Black El Pasoans to El Paso del Norte, symbolizing a golden age in African American culture that was reflected in community service, business, education, religion, literature, music, and politics. Through the tour’s narratives and visuals, you will embark on a historical journey uncovering the vibrant Black legacies that continue to shape El Paso’s identity. There are 38 historical sites between the period of 1850 through 2022 included in the tour.
